VII APICI International Fire Safety Engineering Conference

It was a big pleasure to be invited by APICI (Spanish Association of Fire Protection Engineers) as speaker at the VII International Fire Safety Engineering Conference held in Madrid this February. Subject of my presentation was Smoke Modelling and particularly I have been talking about the Uncertainty of Smoke Filling Calculations, something similar to what I showed last summer in Hong Kong at the SFPE conference but now with new large scale fire tests performed and consequently more experimental data to contrast.

Javier Cuesta (IRTECH), Gabriele Vigne (JVVA)
The conference also held a round table with the group that is developing the first Performance Based Fire Safety Design guide in Spain and in which I coordinate the Advanced Modelling part. It was a great chance to show the group to a big audience. We are working hard to get the guide ready this summer although it's going to be really difficult to achieve this goal.

As a habit by now, please find below my presentation.
