FDS Course Oporto 26-27 October 2018

Goodbye Oporto! This was another great seminar with great participants.

This 2-day seminar provided practical hands-on introduction to Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) and Smokeview. This time we ended with an overview of Pyrosim too.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion the participant should understand:

• Pyrolysis and combustion.
• Boundary condition options, including: conduction, multiple layers, fixed temperature, extraction, supply, etc.
• Radiation.
• Smoke detectors and sprinklers.
• Implementing pre and post flashover fires.
• Smokeview techniques
• Using spreadsheets to develop FDS input files
