Eurofire 2013
Interesting last panel at the Eurofire 2013 conference in Basel. David LANGE from SP (Sweden) discussed about the current status of performance based design of structures in fire. Professor Patrick VAN HEES from Lund University talked about simulation of fire technical properties of products and construction barriers to support fire safety engineering - the fire tools project. Professor Chow (Hong Kong Polytechnic University) showed very interesting stuff about the importance of estimating heat release rate in train car fires. David WARE and Stewart BROWN from Fire Risk Consultancy Ltd UK developped a simplified method to design smoke control systems. I have been talking about the complexity of smoke control design.
Interesting conference, huge participations from more than 20 countries all around the world.
